First up: Whale Watching Tips

Here are a few tips to make sure you have the best possible whale watching experience:

  • If you often get sea-sick (or you’re worried you might), larger boats will be better for you than smaller boats. The bigger the boat you choose, the less turbulent the ride will feel, and the calmer your stomach is likely to be. If you don’t experience sea-sickness, smaller boats may provide easier access to whales and can navigate smaller waterways more easily.

  • Don’t be afraid to bring binoculars! Sometimes, you’ll spot a whale from a distance, and binoculars can help enhance your experience.

  • Keep an eye out for magnificent creatures on land and in the air, as well. It’s not uncommon for whale watching tours to come across bears, eagles, and other animals that are incredibly special in their own right.
